i've been dying to go with my own kids to this world famous aquarium literally since i had them.
i just wanted to make sure they would really really reeeeally enjoy it. a few months ago we watched the blue planet series & they were glued to the show, asking tons of questions & imitating everything including their own whale songs. so when we came to california everyone obliged me & we all met in monterey. with 5 cameras flashing. so it took some doing to pare this down.
it was SO worth the wait!there are so many props & demonstrations & hands on tools & over 600 species of plants & animals.
the kids were fascinated with every little thing.
staring contest. who you lookin at? haha
the touch tanks & the tide tunnel were definite favorites.
can i say how nice it is to go somewhere as a group when the adults outnumber the kidlets? saweet.
monterey seems like such a quiet, old town. always a pleasant visit.
back inside the largest tank holds 1.2 million galloons with one massive single paned window. it is unreal.
the jellyfish were by far the best part for me.
i could have sat & watched them swim back & forth all day. mesmerizing.
but alas the kids were getting hungry & tired so we had to leave the aquarium. otherwise i'm not sure i would have. thanks so much daddy for taking us all up for an awesome day!
